I just updated to 4.0 and have several problems:

1. When I open firefox, my bookmark bar is empty. When I turn off the bookmark bar, then turn it back on, my bookmarks reappear.

2. The forward, back, and reload button are "greyed out" even when there should be sites to go "back" to. I thought it was due to private browsing, but it is not on. Under tools, "start private browsing" is a choice.

3. If I click "start private browsing" nothing happens, and it still shows, instead of changing to "stop private browsing".

4. Sites "load" forever and get stuck with the blue loading bar on them (with my old theme, the blue bar covered the entire tab).

Please help me, or tell me how to get 3.something back! Thank you!

To get Firefox 4.0 working, try Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems.

You can always download Firefox 3.6 and place it in its own "Firefox36" folder inside the Applications folder and then you will have both installed.

Firefox 3.6: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

Issue Number 4 is out of hell....If we don't get a solution soon, it will be "Hello Chrome." I, too, tried to roll back to 3.6, but it's disappeared, couldn't find it anywhere.

In addition to your #2 problem: What happened to the little button by the back arrow that let us jump back several pages, via a drop-down box?? I really have to wait for-freaking-ever for each page to load to get back 4 pages?

PS--Thanks Alice! I'll be rolling back now...

Mozilla, y'all screwed the proverbial pooch with this one!
