Clicking DELETE while veiwing a message in fullscreen causes the next Inbox message to be deleted. Does not happen with IE. Problem started quite recently.
I click on an email listed in the inbox message stack to bring it into fullscreen viewing mode. After reading the message I click on the "Delete" icon to dispose of the message. The message that I just read is not deleted BUT on returning to the inbox stack I notice that the next message in the stack is missing. It is now in the deleted messages folder. I can use the Move To function to transfer the incorrectly deleted message back to my Inbox. This error seems to be permanent and consistent. Does anyone else get the same error? Is there a fix for this problem? This method of deleting emails did previously work correctly but I've noticed the problem since about August or September 2014. I'm using the current Firefox under Windows XP with all the available fixes. This problem does not occur using IE.

Sorry. I forgot to mention that this is using Hotmail/Outlook.
Are you talking about using Firefox to access your provider, or Windows Live Mail (a separate Microsoft program) ?
I am accessing what was once called Hotmail and is now branded as Outlook. I'm actually not sure exactly what Windows Live Mail refers to. Maybe this email program just needs to have three different names.
The provider, Microsoft, does. Hotmail, Live Mail, Windows Live Mail. The Windows Live Mail is a separate Windows program that will access your e-mail accounts without the need for a browser. It works for the above and many more providers.
When you delete a message, are you pressing the delete key, or using the mouse on the delete button in the message window?
I'm clicking on the "Delete" button which is positioned between the "Reply" button and the "Archive" button.

I just went into TOOLS>OPTIONs>ADVANCED>NETWORK and clicked "Clear Now" for both of the cache boxes. I retested the Delete function as before. It works correctly now! No other changes to the system. I am somewhat surprised but it is what it is. Many thanks for your time and effort.
