I was using multiple tabs for for the same site, Pinterest. Now I can't close any tabs. I can move from tab to tab, but they remain stuck open. Even tabs that say new on them won't close.Anyone else ever have this problem? How do I close them? I am using FF35.0 with Windows XP, professional version 2002.

Have you tried ctrl alt del and force closing Firefox?

I just clicked on the red X in the upper right hand corner to go back to windows desktop. Then I rebooted.I started it back up and tabs were gone. I tried a couple new tabs and they seem fine. The downside is I lost a little information.I appreciate your response to my issue. Thanks,Greg

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

My computer just crashed, now everything is working, Tabs and Pinterest have cleared up, I'm at a loss since I don't know much about it. Thanks for the response, I'm not sure I could have followed the instructions, I don't know where that stuff is. Thanks, Greg Bush

I asked about this before and the only solution I got was to close Firefox and start over. That gets old after awhile!
