I DO NOT LIKE YAHOO SEARCH! STOP IT COMING UP!!!!
When I start Firefox I get Yahoo Search.
I detest Yahoo search and despite trying to change the default search to Google, Yahoo does not go away.
I want this to stop and stop right now.
I have used Firefox for a very long time. If I can not decide which search engine I wish to use then its time for me to say goodbye to Firefox and get a browser which allows me freedom to choose.
Over to you, Firefox

hello, firefox let's you freely set the default search engine of your choice in the firefox menu > options > search panel: Change your default search settings in Firefox
if your selection doesn't "stick" after you restart firefox, then that may be a symptom of malware on your system. in this case:
- please go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions & remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, things that you have not installed intentionally, don't know what purpose they serve, etc).
- also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.
- finally, run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner, which are specialised in adware and browser hijackers.

Thanks for your reply.
However to say "......#also go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there......" is unrealistic to a novice IT user. "Potentially unwanted software" give me a break. How will I now whats "Potentially unwanted software".
Need a better response than this.
