In Quantum, how to auto show download panel popup when download start, like old firefox<57?
In Quantum, is there any way to auto show download panel popup when download start, like old firefox<57?
VERY Often time I am not aware of download starting, and downloaded multiple copies of some file. Then I have to delete them. Very annoying.
I don't want to be prompt about download location. Just want a more visible download notification instead of the sneaky blue arrow.

Hi please got the 3Bar Menu --> Customize and mouse up to the Download Arrow and Unhide it.
the panel on the right
As for download Location set that from Copy/Paste about:preferences to the Address Bar then Enter and do down to Files and Applications and tell it where you want it to save.
When Download happens tell it do not ask anymore
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Thanks for super fast relpying.
I already have the download button visible. Just that when download start, the feedback is not strong enough to catch my attention.
Maybe I am wrong about the download panel. May it was just a very big arrow fading animation in old firefox.

fyi : Current Version of Firefox is 60.0.1 Update from Help --> About.
Hi, that does not look like a Arrow. You sure not using something else like a IDM ?

Just want to have a stronger download starting feedback so I won't start too many downloads.
Hi, all I know is my 60.0.1 does not look like that and do not think my ver 59 looked like that.
Any who maybe check this out and it will also speed up your downloads : https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/download-via-idm/
Oh, that is just a demo image from the internet showing what I mean.

lol, ok as looked rather old with slightly rounded corners. Can always use your own Screenshots from the 3 Dot Menu in the Address Bar : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-screenshots
