Suche im Mailpostfächern dauern ewig
Hallo, ich habe wegen der Kompatibilität mit Apple mein Mailsystem von Outlook für Mac auf Thunderbird gewechselt. Hab mich auch gut dran gewöhnt, aber wenn ich Mails suche (im Eingang, Ausgang, Gesendet) dauert die Suche ewig, halbe Minute und länger. Das waren vor der Migration in Outlook Sekundenbruchteile, was ist da los? Ich nutze MacOS Catalina 10.15.5 und Thunderbird 68.10.0 64bit. Danke und hoffe mal das das hier übersetzt wird :-) Michael

Is this happening with Global Search (Ctrl+K) or Classic Search (Ctrl+Shift+F)? Do you download entire messages on an IMAP account, so 'run search on server' is unchecked in Classic? For Global, it may be necessary to rebuild the database.
Global Search (Ctrl+K) macht keine Sinn, da findet er überhaupt nichts in den Postfächern. Ctrl+Shift+F funktioniert schnell, aber in einem extra-kleinen Fenster? Und man muss die Suche ausfüllen, das ist alle umständlich. Dei Outlook hab ich einfach oben rechts eingetragen was ich brauche und das System zeigt in Bruchteilen von Sekunden alle Mail in denn das Stichwort irgendwo vorkommt. Danke und Gruß

Global Search (Ctrl + K) makes no sense because it finds nothing in the mailboxes. Ctrl + Shift + F works quickly, but in an extra-small window? And you have to fill out the search, it's all cumbersome. I simply entered the Outlook in the top right corner what I need and the system shows all mail in a fraction of a second because the keyword appears somewhere. Thanks and regards
Maybe you don't have Global Search enabled? It's under Preferences/Advanced/General/Advanced Configuration. In your second picture, of Quick Filter Bar, there are 3 buttons enabled (Filtern nach); keep in mind that this a 'match all criteria' search, so that Sender, Recipients, Subject, Body must all match the entered text if all buttons are enabled. Enable just the Body button if you're looking for messages with the keyword in the message body.
