unable to open documents, statements etc on the ciDirect trading site. using firefox browser

more options

I am unable to open the documents, statements etc on the ciDirect trading site when using firefoz, but I can open them if I use chrome browser. On my Scotia trading site I can open them when using firefox. I would like to keep things simple and just use firefox. Is the a setting etc that I am missing or what? Thanks Lloyd Ashbee

Hi Lloyd, is there an error message from Firefox or from the site when you try to open documents and statements?

Based on your experience, are they PDFs? Firefox 98 has tweaked various download behaviors, and I wonder whether the site's PDFs are getting saved instead of opened automatically. Could you check the Downloads list (either click the toolbar button with the Downloads arrow icon, or press Ctrl+J) and see whether any files are getting downloaded from that site.

There is no error message from Firefox or the site. I move my mouse cursor onto the opening button which in this case is the word "view" which becomes highlighted and I click on it and nothing happens. I can find no evidence of the files going into downloads or onto my C drive. The files are PDF as I opened one using Chrome and there was a reference to PDF Thanks Lloyd

Based on comparison with Chrome, are you expecting that the PDF will display in the page (embedded), or take over a new tab, or save to disk?

And more generally, is the built-in PDF viewer working on other sites?
