Firefox hangs whenever I use animated programs such as Jacquie Lawson cards, Blue Mountain cards, and the Jump Start computer game for children.

I have Mac OS X 10.6.5

I do not have these problems when using Safari.

Such animations are usually done via Flash objects.

Does the Flash test page indicate that your installed "Shockwave Flash 10.1 r102" is working properly?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
