Site fails to refresh properly
While browsing the boards on 4chan i noticed that sometimes the pages will not refresh properly unless i do a ctrl+f5 refresh. Also since the URL uses frames, all this does is bring me back to the home page, it looks like firefox doesnt know how to refresh a framed site properly.
This started happening about the itme 5.0 was released i believe.
Ive tried clearing cache and cookies to no effect.
Since this happens randomly it is also extremely difficult to test using different profiles.

Just wondering when i can get an official response?
Does clearing the Firefox cache work or do you need to bypass the cache to get the current page?
Pages may be cached elsewhere (router or your ISP or some proxy) if you get outdated pages.
You can check the connection settings in Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection
I dont need to clear the cache at all, but i do need to use ctrl+f5 to get the up to date version of the page (f5 by itself does not work).
Im not using a proxy, but i do have a router (living in student accomodation, 4 guys to a flat).
Using Ctrl+F5 makes makes Firefox send a no-cache header to inform other devices (proxy) to reload the page from the server.
So what do i have to fix this?
Any ideas?
Erm...hello?

What does this add on do exactly? It seems that it scans the page for changes and...highlights them? I cant install any addons that use constant bandwidth as im on a cap at the moment.
Explained on the developer site: http://updatescanner.mozdev.org/en/index.html
Right but i dont want to be notified when a website has changes, i want refresh to refresh the page properly...
Your user agent shows you to be running Firefox 6 which is still in BETA and not slated for release until August 16. There are bound to be bugs in it which have still to be ironed out.
This problem happened around the time i started using firefox 5, so thats not it...
That may be so, but right now you're using Firefox 6, so we cannot assist you further until you install the current version which is Firefox 5.0.1
...So what happens when i install firefox 5.01 and its still not working?
I dont see why i need to download and install firefox 5.01(which btw takes up more of my very small cap per month) just so i can tell you its still not working. Do you have any particular methods you want to try that will work ONLY in firefox 5.01?
