Keyboards's swipe does not work while typing in the address bar

I've got Xperia Z3 Compact and experience something that I'm not really sure whether it's a bug or a feature.

The swipe and word prediction features of the Xperia's default keyboard are not working while typing anything in the address bar of the firefox browser. This issue appears only while using Firefox and only typing in the address bar (which means while typing in any input fields swipe works ok).

Any ideas how to turn swipe on in the address bar? Or is it deliberately switched off by the authors of the app?

I'm using the updated Firefox from Google Play and the 5.0.2 Android version., 23.2.A.1.62 compilation version.

Thanks for any help.

No to the later, but I do have a question: Can you toggle this setting: From your Home Screen:

  1. Press menu button then select "Settings"
  2. Scroll down to "Language & keyboard" and select it.
  3. This is a list of all available keyboards installed- select your keyboard (most likely the only keyboard available is "Android keyboard").
  4. Under "Android keyboard" (or "Swype"), deselect "Auto-complete" and/or "Quick fixes." Done.
