Can nolonger set margins and headers/footers and attempts to reset printer settings and all printer settings have failed.
Have been using Firefox for years. Do a lot of printing and especially like ability to control way printouts look.
About a week ago removed some unwanted programs and removed some suspected malware. Had to restore default browser, default search engine and home page, but other than that everything seemed to working fine. But when I went to print documents, I found that although my printer page settings were still there (1 inch margins, right-footer #/#) but were ignored in both print preview and physical printout.
Followed instructions in Fix Printer Problems:
(1) Reset Firefox Printer Settings (via about:config): print_printer + reset --- failed to solve problem (2) Reset all Firefox Printer Settings (via Troubleshooting Information / show folder): nothing began with "print_"
Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox (both with and without saving bookmarks) -- made no difference.
Using Windows 10 with Firefox 47

This solution didn't help. Height and width were already set to -1.00.
I did solve problem, however. What worked was selecting the "Refresh Firefox" option. In rechecking prefs.js file, I found that the print_margin lines had been changed from some long decimal number beginning with "0.0593..." (which didn't work) to "0.5" (which matched setting on my old XP machine and does work on Win 10).
Oddity: margin settings in page setup are now 12.7mm (0.5 in) where I had previously been using 1.0 in. When I increased setting to 25mm (1.0 in), margins were too big.
Thanks for replay
