How do I override Firefox prediction?

So I have two website links.

https://example.ex.myuniversity.ca/ https://example.ex.myuniversity.ca/network

Now these two links are ENTIRELY different. There is no button on the first link's page to access the second link. Absolutely nothing. The only way to access the second link is to type in the entire thing (or bookmark it, or have it predicted by firefox). I NEVER visit the first link. I have no use for it whatsoever. They are, though, identical except for the "/network". They just lead different places and are based off of different servers.

My problem is that Firefox refuses to predict the second link. It will only ever predict the first. I have the second link bookmarked. I have erased all traces of the first link from my history. I have clicked "delete" after highlighting the first link in Firefox's predict dropdown menu. Nothing works. It will only ever predict the first link. For preference reasons, I dislike having to go and click on a bookmark, so I want it to be predicted. How do I do this? How can I override the first link and force Firefox to predict the second link?

Did you try to remove this item in the drop-down list?

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:

  1. click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
  2. highlight an entry in the drop-down list with the mouse or cursor Down key
do not click the mouse or press the Enter key
  3. press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry

As I have said: "I have clicked "delete" after highlighting the first link in Firefox's predict dropdown menu.", I have tried that and it didn't work. Now instead of wasting time, please actually say something that you didn't pull out of a copy/paste.

That is the standard for this kind of problem. Does the entry go away and then come back, or does nothing happen?

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
