Hey, out of nowhere my thunderbird started asking for all my passwords, doesn't want to save them and denies access to anything.

My configuration: Thunderbird 52.4.0 (64-bit) for Linux Fedora 27 encrypted on a Thinkpad T430 3 mail accounts at different providers

My problem: Everything worked just fine, until I went to make me some coffee. After I came back to my Computer and waking it up again, my still opened Thunderbird was constantly asking for my passwords and usernames. In Preferences -> Security -> Saved Passwords there is not a single saved password, although I saved my passwords when configuring Thunderbird. When I enter my password for a account and check the "remember password" box, Thunderbird promptly asks me a second time. And a third. Sometimes Thunderbird accepts my password, but doesn't show any new mails. When sending or refreshing it asks again, and again and again, but never shows any error messages. I checked my server configurations and they were just fine, as far as I could figure.

I thought maybe I need to configure a Master password, but after entering it twice and clicking on OK, it says it failed.

I tried the trick to delete the keys3.db file, but it didn't work.

thanks for helping

Part of the Problem solved, without me doing anything. After entering my passwords, Thunderbird shows my mails and works. The password manager isn't working though, and I'm still not able to set a master password.

I'm absolutely confused, that problems occure and disappear without me doing anything at all.
