I can access NY Times using Chrome or IE, but not Fire Fox. I keep getting the following message: "Firefox can't find the server at www.nytimes.com." I have cleared cache, cleared recent history, deleted all cookies, disabled IPv6 and DNS Prefetching, and checked for malware. Nothing has worked

There have been problems that the www.nytimes.com website has been hacked, but I assume that this has been resolved by now (I can access the website on Linux).

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and the cookies from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

I have tried all those steps and it still doesn't work. I can access nytimes.com using IE and Chrome but not with Firefox.

Try to flush the DNS cache.

You can also try to reset (power off/on) the router.

Just now i can access with Firefox again in Greece.

I tried that already. I am trying to access from work, so resetting the router isn't an option (we have a T-1 line in any event).
