Hi. I have been using Zotero on my MacBook but, after having to restore my hard drive recently, my Zotero library disappeared. I created a new Firefox profile following the steps I found on the support site but now all of my bookmarks are gone and I'm not able to restore my old settings or data. Any suggestions?

Do you have a backup of your old profile? (Also, FYI, your firefox is out of date, please install firefox 31)

adam, why are you posting that link? This is a Firefox forum, not a zotero forum.

because the original poster asks about Zotero (which, as you could have quickly ascertained, is a Firefox add-on) , so I figured a specific reply about Zotero would be of more help than your generic Firefox answer.

Way to encourage community involvement though!

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.

These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox

FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
