Sometime, Firefox tabs do not close on clicking
Sometimes, clicking the close button on a tab does not work. In some cases, it happens for a particular tab and in others, none of the tabs close on clicking.
Chosen solution
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the tool bar. Followed by;
Windows; Tools > Options Linux; Edit > Preferences Mac; application name > Preferences
Then Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.
Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?
Then restart.

since the prob occurs rarely, let me run firefox as per your guidelines for 1-2 days. i will come back 2 u after that
