IMAP Spam Messages Are Deleted Automatically After Moving To Spam Folder
TB 45.2.0. Three Accounts - Two POP & One IMAP
I have junk handling set to adaptive filtering and to move messages to the account's Junk folder. The "Automatically delete junk messages older than X days" is unchecked. This works as expected in the POP accounts but on IMAP, it moves the message then deletes it (in that IMAP way). The moved & deleted junk message is not visible at all in TB. However, with my Zoho web client, I can view IMAP deleted messages. From there I can tell that the junk messages are not only moved to the Junk folder but also marked for deletion. Nothing in my settings tells TB to do this. Is this a known bug?

I would be inclined to think your provider schedules the deletion and Thunderbird synchronizes their action. One of the things about imap is things like deletion can come from server settings, settings on a phone or tablet and the result synchronizes to the other devices. Not nearly as clear cut as pop with it's single folder and either leave on the server or not options.
I thought that maybe Zoho was doing it. I have all of their spam filtering turned off and I am not moving spam to their default folder. The folder where spam is moved by Thunderbird is just a folder; nothing special. It really looks like Thunderbird is doing this. But you bring up a point...I guess I cannot say for sure that the deletion is coming from TB.
