How do I migrate mail from netscape 7.2 to Thunderbird
I need a little help and thanks for your assistance.
I have just brought a new computer and installed Thunderbird. I have done a little research and found that I may have been able to import 7.2 mail. Buy I started using Thunderbird. Can I still import 7.2? I do not see the import wizard? I tried uninstalling Thunderbird. and reinstalling it but it finds all my mail folders and does not install as the 1st time, so import wizard does not show up. I really would like to import all my old mail, so please let me know how I can do this. Many thanks. I can be reach by mail or by phone. Xxx-xxx-xxxx
.edit phone# from spam and search bots as nobody here does one on one support by phone.

You will need to install an old version of Thunderbird to import from Netscape 7.
I do not recall exactly when it was withdrawn. But it was certainly in V3.
You can download an EN_US version of V3 here. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/releases/3.1.9/win32/en-US/
Once you have done the import update again by installing the latest version. As you have observed the update process will not affect you mail. Although you may find password are lost on the downgrade and reappear on the upgrade as the storage method changed in the middle there.
Once you have the old version. Tools menu (alt+T) and use the import from that menu.
Thanks. But, when I went to import mail, It showed Communicator 4.x. So I guess it a later V. of Thunderbird
Where can I find older versions of Thunderbird?
