Hi all,

I created some new firefox profile to allow me to create some standalone-app-style shortcuts for Whatsapp web, gmail and similar services. So I have a shortcut for Whatsapp that opens in a dedicated profile "whatsapp", and the same for Gmail ecc. To browse internet I still use the default profile. New profile creation was necessary to get a different window layout from the default one, in particular the window don't show tabs and address bar. I realize now I would like to have a new feature, if it is possible. When I open a link in a mail (so I would be using Gmail profile of firefox) I would need that it opens in the default Firefox profile, not in the "Gmail" profile.

Is it possible to get that with an extension or with a modified setting?

Thanks a lot!

Might try one of these : https://www.google.ca/search?q=firefox+addon+open+multiple+tabs&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&dcr=0&ei=WtziWYfLD6SPjwStjp3oDQ

If not refine the search more.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

I assume that you use the -no-remote command line switch to start Firefox. When this switch is used then normally it isn't possible to open links in a Firefox instance started with this command line switch.

No, I'm not using -no-remote command line switch. My question is how I can do this: I find a link in the instance B (not the default one) and when I click on it, it opens in a new tab or a new window of the instance A (the default one). If it is possible.
