This follows T'bird identifying the emails as spam, despite me going through all the steps to train/tell it that the emails are 'not junk'. ie; it used to identify them as spam, now it is giving them this ancient 'sent' date. No other emails get this treatment.

The date header is lost. Sounds like you may have a corrupt Inbox file.

Do the following:

  • Move all good emais out of the Inbox into suitable folders for storing and organising.
  • Delete all emails you do not want.

When Inbox is empty:

  • Right click on 'Inbox' and select 'Compact'
  • Right click on 'Junk' / 'Spam' folder and select 'Empty Junk'
  • Right click on 'Junk' / 'Spam' folder and select 'Compact'
