I get a message that a script is running in the calendar that causes Thunderbird to be unresponsive. I stop the script, but then another script message appears regarding a different script in Calendar. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird, but the problem persists.

Are you using inbuilt calendar or Add-on calendar.?

could you share the script message

I use the built-in calendar. The add-on calendar quit working a while back and I could not locate another add-on compatible with Google. the message is:

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-base-view.xml:102

When select stop script, I get another message regarding a different file, for example:

A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete.

Script: chrome://calendar/content/calendar-base-view.xml:102

This keeps going on and on...

I've got exactly the same problem. The WARNING: Unresponsive script.

script: chrome//messager/content/folderPane.js2138

It reoccurs whether I click CONTINUE or STOP SCRIPT.

I'm using Google Calendar. Thunderbird with this exact calendar works flawlessly on my other computer. This one is a Dell with Windows X, less than 2 years old.

I clicked on Synchronize to get it started, because I saw no message that TBird was automatically starting to load the calendar. Was that the right or wrong procedure?

Follow up question...is this script warning calendar related? or could it be email related. I also added a new email account today. Maybe I didn't allow enough time for it to download and it got cross-wise with the calendar.  :(
