keyword-column for bookmark-library-window

more options

Moin Moin. The bookmark-library-window does not comprise a keyword-column, which forces a user, upon searching for a new, unique keyword, to export all bookmarks and search the html-file. So the complexity of finding/changing keywords does rise from O(1) to O(N). 8^((( The solution of "https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1253217" os not a solution of this complexity-problem. _Tschüß, __Michael.

A possible workaround is this SQLite Viewer tool and open places.sqlite with the moz_keywords table.

Possible query to Execute:

  • SELECT * FROM 'moz_keywords' ORDER BY keyword

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

I'm familiar with two sites for querying SQLite databases (in this case, places.sqlite) the way cor-el suggested:

If you want the list to show the url and title, try this query (after pasting in place of the default query, you have to click Execute):

SELECT keyword, url, ifnull(title, '---') as Title
FROM moz_keywords INNER JOIN moz_places
  ON moz_keywords.place_id = moz_places.id
ORDER BY keyword, url
