I've gone down a rabbit hole of authentication in regards to Sync with Firefox. I'm wondering if I can regenerate a recovery key by removing the recovery key from my account and then choosing to re-enable a recovery key on my account? I do have the password for my primary email on my account, but I can't find the recovery key value for it.

I also have a secondary email on my account that I don't have a password for, and need to reset a password for it, but one problem at a time...

Chosen solution

Generating a recovery key only generates this key so you can use it instead of a password reset and nothing more.

What is the current state with your Firefox Account ? Can you access the Firefox account and its email as that is a primary requirement for generating a new recovery key ?

You may need a fresh login to the Firefox Account website.

Hi, thanks for the response. Current state is I'm able to authenticate using my primary email. Just want to make sure I don't nuke my account if I regenerate a recovery key (if that's possible).

Great, that's what I needed to hear. I removed the recovery key, recreated it, and now I have a recovery key for the account. Mission accomplished. Thanks for your help.
