After upgrading to Firefox 5.0, opens to homepage as normal. Can surf the web as normal. If I go to a webpage that requires clicking on a url that opens a new tab, the tab showes it is trying to connect and shows an address, but in the address bar it shows "about:blank" and will continue until you x out the tab. When you shut down firefox it appears to shutdown. If you try to start Firefox again, a flag comes up saying firefox is still running and you must shut it down or reboot windows XP. When you shut down winXP it hangs and will eventually shut down. It may have something to do with security settings or accepting certificates. I don't know enough to figure it out. Thank you for any help you can provide. If helpful, my phone #(xxx)xxx-xxxx.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
