HTC sense v.3.0. When any web page is opened am unable to access photos/video thru HTC gallery, also HTC weather app crashes. When i quit beta everything is back to normal. No previous issues. Occasionally when loading web page url address is ok but screen is blank white. Reload solves.

Hi,

I'm sorry you are having these problems with Firefox Beta. We have heard of the blank screen issue before if you can tell me what happens before you see the blank page or if it is only on some websites, I will file a bug for it.

We are working on the memory consumption that is likely the cause of Android quitting other applications while Firefox is running (this is a tough problem to solve in the way that Android allocates resources).

Thanks in advance for any additional details you can provide and for helping to make Firefox for Android awesomer!

Thanks for that. The blank screen can appear for any site. The Firefox home screen has never been affected. When opening a web page the loading completes with the site icon and address in the bar but with a blank white screen What i cannot understand about the memory issue is that it seems that only the embedded apps are affected. When i downloaded the accu weather app from the play store that worked perfectly, similarly with a downloaded photo/video viewer .(I know that is a partial solution but i actually prefer some of the embedded apps.)

Thanks again for your help

Liam

Just to update. Both issues now seem to fixed and I have had no problems for the last couple of days. Ah the mystery of computers!! Could I ask you to check one other thing for me please. There is one website that has never opened (partial blank screen) in Firefox or Firefox Beta for Android (no problem with desktop) the site is http://www.businesspost.ie/
