I can't get the Firefox HomePage, I get Yahoo Search instead

more options

I made the mistake of having Firefox keep NO history at all. When it restarted, it went to the Yahoo Search Page immediately, and I can not get to the Firefox Home Page to change the setting.

How can I get back to the Mozilla Firefox Home Page, so I can change the "Privacy" setting back to normal?

To open the built-in home page, you can type about:home in the address bar and press Enter to load it.

But if you want to open the Options page, you also can do that using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > Options
  • tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > Tools > Options

Now... why would Yahoo become your home page. This could be from a bad add-on. If you check the home page address, does it have extra parameters after https://www.yahoo.com/ ?
