The article on moving data from one computer to another refers to copying the profile while TB is used to find the profile. Then there is a warning to not copy the profile when TB is either running or that profile is active. Please advise how to copy this profile when the profile can only be found when TB is running?

In TB, select Help/Troubleshooting Information, then click Open Folder to open the profile folder in Windows Explorer, then close TB and copy the profile folder in Explorer (select the folder, Ctrl+C; Ctrl+V to paste it in another location).

But if you're actually trying to move TB data from one computer to another, it's easier to copy the Thunderbird folder (a subfolder of .../AppData/Roaming), which contains a Profiles folder (which contains the profile folder), and paste this Thunderbird folder in the same location ( .../AppData/Roaming) on the other computer (while TB is closed).

The folder structure is: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\profilefolder
