I deleted the passwords in password manager - Cant find a way to add back the passwords
Thunderbird v 102.7.0 - Windows 10 v21H2
I needed to change my email password on one account - I changed it at the server, then changed it in password manager. I could not log into the imap server - I checked the all the server information in account settings and password manager. All was correct. After trying to get things to work for a few hours, I deleted the line with the servers/password/etc. info.
I then tried to enter a password for that account and cannot find a location where I can add the password. I've look in Account Settings, Server Settings. In Account Settings, there is an edit option for the SMTP server, I've worked through that and nowhere to enter a password.
In addition, I can't find a location to enter a password for the imap server (password is the same as for SMTP)
Please advise Thanks for your assistance.

You will be asked to offer the password when the server asks Thunderbird for them. That dialog also contains an option to save the password in the password manager.
BTW right clicking the password entry in the password manager offers a menu to edit either the user name or the password.
If you are simply not being asked for a password, generally this is because the account settings are such that one is not required. Or you have an external password manager, perhaps with your internet security suite that is actually just offering up the wrong password when the request comes.
Thanks for the info. I’ll be able to work on it Sunday when I return.

I have the same problem. However I'm not being asked for a password when I log in to Thunderbird. The program opens but I can neither send nor receive emails, I had changed the password through a web mail login and when I tried to change in Thunderbird I mistakenly removed the existing password and can't find a way to enter the new one. In the settings under passwords there are now no saved logins and I can't find a way to enter a new one. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the hassle, I found the solution.
