my download location is different, but when i try to download any software it is showing the "temp" file and suggesting to change properties of the location.why
C:\Users\AppData\Local\Temp could not be saved, because you cannot change the contents of that folder.
Change the folder properties and try again, or try saving in a different location.
i get to see this every time i try to download anything other than word documents or pictures. for files or software's it is automatically showing this error

Please update to Firefox 26 and let us know if you still have trouble. Update Firefox to the latest release
Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Download and save the full Firefox installer to the desktop and start the installation with a double-click on the desktop icon.

i tried that... but it showing an error "cannot create temp folder archive" what should i do ? it is cause of some virus ?? this is only happening in my account of the laptop. in other account there is no such problem. but again the application downloaded from that user account wouldn't run in my user account.
Try to disable your anti-virus software temporarily in case it is causing problems.
