Hello. I try to develop an phone extension for FF. As far as I know I could share microphone permanently only with HTTPS sites. But how to deal with extension html page which has a resource:// scheme? Is there a way to grant such permission permanently?

Hi okarenkov, Thank you for your question, I understand that you are trying to develop an extension that needs to grant permission to the microphone permanently.

There is an option on the pop up for the user to check to remember the option for next time. And a persistent request will come up as it is being shared in 33, depending on 2 other bugs.(6 weeks or check out webrtc shareusermedia() in the current beta version)

Please explore the Media/Webrtc api in the Mozilla Developer Network for more information. Their main support are questions tagged in stackoverflow.com.
