how recover my saved passwords in firefox
Hello. I made a mistake in using the software "Glary Utilities 5" all my passwords saved in Mozilla clear. Is there any way that I can do to recover your password. :( Please help. I am using the Mozilla version 33, the Windows 7.

Most likely, you will need to find a backup of your password file, logins.json, which is found in your Firefox profile folder. Some possible sources of backup copies:
- Backups you make on a regular basis (hopefully)
- Possibly a recent copy made by Windows in a restore point (right-click logins.json > Properties > Previous Versions)*
- Possibly a recent copy made by Firefox's Reset feature (on your desktop: Old Firefox Data)
* Don't restore a previous version while Firefox is running. Make sure all Firefox windows are closed first. If a new logins.json is not present, you may need to save a password so that Firefox creates it.
Hello. Restart Firefox I got my old folders that are stored on your desktop's Firefox as my picture, I'm confused, I do not know what to do. See the photos you will be able to determine what will work. Thanks for your help. :)
Could you change to the "Details" view in Windows Explorer. I think you would use that grid icon on the toolbar. This will show the dates the files were last modified so you can get an idea of whether this is likely to have your missing data.
If the date looks useful, you will need both the logins.json file and key3.db file. Here's what I suggest:
Keep that old profile folder open.
In Firefox, open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using either
- "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
- (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
- type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button to launch a Windows Explorer folder for your currently live profile.
Leaving that window open, switch back to Firefox and Exit, either:
- "3-bar" menu button > "power" button
- (menu bar) File > Exit
Now... rename logins.json to logins.old and key3.db to key3.old.
Next, copy the older versions of those two files from the old folder to your currently live Firefox profile. (I suggest copying rather than moving just in case they get corrupted somehow, so you still have a good copy.)
When you start Firefox back up again, it should discover those files.
Success?
These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
