When I open Thunderbird I am asked to enter new password. I keep on entering different passwords but none of them work. I went to Tools > Security . Change password. Changed the password to a totally new one. Closed Thunderbird and reopened it and got the same stuff.

Earlier today I had a window advising Thunderbird had crashed but it obviously hadn't as I received some emails. Emails from my ISP are still active and OK.

I have used snipping tool as Microsoft paint not found. I include snip of Google mail reporting no emails received since 28 Nov. However I have been receiving emails on my Samsung Galaxy 5 mini which have been forwarded via my website (http://wwwbilyzweb.com) I received a request from Thunderbird to send details because it had crashed. This is a follow on. My alternative email address is billwatters100@gmail.com

Verify with your email provider the correct format of the user ID required. Some providers require the entire email address, others only the part before the @ sign.
