When I delete an email from my tablet, how can I get it to delete from my desktop as well?

When traveling, I use my tablet and check emails. I want to delete them from my tablet and home desktop computer as well so I don't have 100s of emails to read through when I get home. Any help you can give is appreciated. THANKS.

It sounds as though you would want both devices set up to use an IMAP connection to the server. With IMAP, the "master" copy of your mail folders lives the server, and your different mail programs/apps create a local mirror copy. Deletes, folder moves, etc. that you do in your mail program/app are mirrored back to the server and should synchronize to other devices.

With a POP connection, on the other hand, each mail program/app downloads its own copy of your mail, and whatever you do locally has no effect on the copy on the server (which may or may not be left on the server depending on your settings).

It can be a little hazardous to change how you currently access mail because you need to take care to preserve local messages that were removed from the server. If you describe how your mail account was set up on the two devices, you could get more specific advice.
