Thunderbird message: Inbox Full. Thunderbird will not download new messages until a significant number of emails now in my Inbox are moved or deleted. How do I SELECT ALL of the Inbox contents in order to move them to an external folder?

What do you mean by "external folder"?

I'd move them to the Local Folders account in Thunderbird. It's harder to search messages or follow conversation threads when they are saved outside Thunderbird.

Message selection uses standard GUI keystrokes.

Having selected your messages, I'd suggest right-click then "Move to". You can drag and drop but it's more accident prone than using the menu command.

That was my first action to empty my Inbox by moving messages to a local folder, Archive, as I designated the new folder I created for the move. However, Thunderbird continues to indicate Inbox is at its message limit. So, what's the fix?
