I have blocked the site under settings, how do I never see MSN again? It's toxic and I do not want that crap shoved in my face every time I open firefox.

Probably a redundant question, but would you please check your settings in Options => Home  ?

Also, would you try this please :

Type in the address bar about:config and press Enter

Type in the search bar :

browser.startup.page

Make sure the value is set to what you want to see at startup :

0 = blank, 1 = homepage, 2 = last visited page, 3 = resume previous browser session.

If you had to change the value, then close and restart Firefox.
