How do I make the bookmarks toolbar stay open when going into properties?

Each time I click into properties when I'm renaming a bookmark or a folder, my bookmarks toolbar closes.

I checked about:config and didn't see a setting in there. Does anyone know how I would go about changing this so that it doesn't AUTOclose when going into properties?

I'm using Firefox 9.0.1

You can open the bookmarks in the sidebar (View > Sidebar > Bookmarks; Ctrl+B) if you want the currently selected bookmark or folder to stay visible. If you do that in the Bookmarks menu and on the Bookmarks Toolbar then open menus and folders are closed automatically.
