I Have a Turbo Extreme bandwidth package on IP cable. I play lots of videos and TV shows. Often these slow down or stutter. It acts like Firefox or the plug=in is struggling to cache video frames. At other times they play fine.

I added more RAM at a higher frequency. It still does this at times. Like Firefox may still be using only a small amount of RAM.

I want to give Firefox 15.01 MORE RAM so it can run freely and load streaming video caches more efficiently. I have 8 GB so limited RAM is not a problem.

I am running Windows 7 Professional.

You could set the memory cache to a larger size in the about:config window. You have to add a setting because it is no longer there by default.

The cache management override setting will not allow entries over 1024 MB.

We set a lower bound of 50MB and an upper bound of 1GB.
