I'm trying to make it so that the whole top bar (tabs, address bar, bookmarks etc.) autohides when I'm in full screen like it does in Chrome.

I've tried setting browser.fullscreen.autohide to false and leaving it default, and even on a completely fresh profile it does nothing. Is this even possible?

Thanks

I assume that full screen mode should work on Mac the same way as on the other platforms (Mac, Linux).

I've seen more threads about this issue on Mac and no cause or solution AFAIK.

Are there any Mac settings for fullscreen mode that could be causing this?

I'm not sure if you might be in maximized mode and not in real full screen mode.

You can try this extension.

After having a play about, it seems that browser.fullscreen.autohide doesn't affect 'green button' full screen, but rather things like YouTube full screen playback.

I was just trying to record the behaviour in Chrome but it seems it's gone there now! I swear all of the bars at the top used to disappear when you scrolled down a page.

I managed to find Toolbar Autohide which does what I want. Thanks for replying, anyway.
