When you go to Firefox my first tab always is assigned yahoo.com my homepage. When I click on the next tab over I would like all of those also be assigned yahoo search page. How do I assign all the other tabs to be like my homepage? When I hit on the plus sign for the next tab it says Search tab - then in says search or enter address - i want this page to go to yahoo search automatically. So when I hit The + to go to the next tab it will give me a yahoo search page. I hope I explained what I want to do.

hello Shayspenc8668, you can set a custom site to open in a new tab like this: enter about:config into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named browser.newtab.url. double-click it and change its value to www.yahoo.com (or any other site you want to open for that matter).

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

Hi Phillip, I was hesitant to due this at first but I followed your advice and it worked. Thank you Thank you Thank you. I almost didn't didn't do this because when it comes to messing things up on the computer I'm a pro, so I have learned not to do something unless I no what I am doing. I had faith in your ability - to be honest - I didn't no what the heck you were talking about so I just took it one step at a time in another tab window then went back and forth. Again Thank you it works. Sharon (Shay)
