Quick Filter toolbar won't stay closed. multiple versions, view toolbars and uncheck doesn't work. How can I make it really go away?

I have had Thunderbird for more than a decade. I don't like the Quick Filters toolbar and want it to go away. Going to View>Toolbars> and unchecking Quick Filters Toolbar does not make it go away after a TB restart. When I restart, TB opens with the Quick Filters Toolbar. I've unchecked the box every time TB has opened for 5 years. Is there a way to change the config to guarantee it doesn't continually show?

Is this setting contained only in the session.json file, {"quickFilter":{"filterValues":{"text":{"text":null,"states":{"sender":true,"recipients":true,"subject":true}}},"visible":false}}} area? I'm guessing the "visible":false

I have no idea. I am not a coder. All I know is the setting is contained in the session.json file along with a number of other user interface settings. Which settings I was not able to get out of the developers back when Thunderbird as developed by the Mozilla Messaging company. I really do not think they knew exactly what is stored there. Each only knew the part of the code they worked on.
