Exchange accounts can be added (in the same way as any other account) if the server supports IMAP.
Alternatively, Exchange support can be added by enabling the experimental Exchange Web Services option as shown in this article: https://www.askvg.com/how-to-add-or-enable-exchange-support-in-thunderbird-email-client/.
