In both XP and XP64, I still have the "top bar" of my FF4 window after disabling the menu bar. In other words, the top bar is not flush with the tabs area as it would be in Vista. I have tried disabling all add-ons.

Please see picture for a better explanation.

The Firefox browser window has to be Maximized for the Firefox button and the Tabs to be in the Title bar area. That sucks for users with large monitors who want to use less than the full monitor for applications.

It does suck. I don't even care about the "real estate" of the titlebar so much as the eyesore of the extra delineated bar itself. FF should take a hint from Chrome. Unfortunately FXChrome had a few glitches for me.

This add-on comes *close* to what I want to do, but it completely hides the titlebar rather than just blending the titlebar with the tab bar, which is cumbersome also because you can't drag the window by the titlebar. But it appears that if anyone's going to be able to do what I want, it will be this developer.
