When I load any map in Google Maps, the map itself is displayed with normal resolution during the loading process, but it turns into a blurred version when the page finishes loading, right after the appearance of the Google Earth or Street View tools at the bottom of the map.

The problem doesn't happen with Chrome or Internet Explorer. I've first noticed the problem with Firefox a few days ago, it has always worked fine before. I do not remember any particular change in the settings that I might have applied in the last days.

Thanks for any help! Cheers

hello, could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum? this might give us a clue what is going on...

Hello,

I've uploaded the requested Troubleshooting Information as a pdf file that can be found at this link:

https://www.wetransfer.com/downloads/7468eee5a99cb683ee7b67ac107b22e820151209163408/2306010ff40070aeb96243e87c25552020151209163408/2109ce

I cannot cut and paste it as simple text in the forum because it's longer than the allowed length of 10,000 characters.

Thanks, Andrea

thank you andrea. does it make a difference if you update the graphics driver on your system?: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy3&os=Windows%207%20-%2064 (this should be the right link for your configuration)

otherwise you could also try to disable hardware acceleration in the firefox menu ≡ > options > advanced > general - that setting will take a restart of the browser to take effect.

Hello and thanks Philipp,

unfortunately this doesn't help.

I've disabled hardware acceleration without success.

As to the graphic driver update, since many months and for reasons that I ignore, each time I try to install the update I get a message saying that the update is not compatible with my specific system and the installation fails. This happens since many many months, as I said, while the problem with Google Maps showed up only few days ago, so I tend to think they're not correlated. Moreover, the Google Maps problem does not occur with other browser. More generally, I'm experiencing no graphical problems at all.

I would think that there might be some other setting in Firefox that causes this problem, but I really can't find it.

Best, Andrea
