Hi, yes I installed the auto resize add-on and I see it across the top of my Thunderbird email page, but...

...which of the first 4 options do I check? I checked "All Images", then checked "All Attachment Images"; I checked them after I transferred the screenshot images; I checked them before transferring them...and nothing works. The images still are immensely large!

Could someone please let me know how to apply this add on? Thanx.

How do you get to Support, Report? I went to Tools, Add-ons, but didn't see "About this Add-on" at the bottom or elsewhere... Please tell me where I look for it? Do I ask directly at the email address you so kindly sent me?

I have no clue, but....I don't see anymore across the top of my email page my installed auto resize add-on. I also don't see the message I was answering to with this autoresize thing. Please help... Thanks much!

jscher2000, I didn't find any clue as to how to apply this resizer in Extensions. I clicked on Appearance and Customization and went down through the 122 addons....and didn't see anything that I could tell.

what a shame that we the users have to do a techie's job, which i wouldn't mind at all if I knew what I'm doing!!! Windows Live Mail may have many things going wrong because they too abandoned it, but everything else was there; i.e., the right pic sizes, NO missing buttons, WORKING subfolders, NOT a host of other wrong or incomplete things, etc.  :(

Hi Adelaa, I'm sorry if my reply was not clear. I gave you a link to the resizer extension's page on the Add-ons site, which I thought you would go ahead and click to read the information provided by its author.

I'm sorry too jscher....I'm dumb I know. But I clicked on Extensions and got a little list of things and thought the appearance and customization was the closest, which gave me those 122 addons... Where oh where please tell me should I be opening besides the Extensions, to read the info provided by the author? I'd appreciate it if you could give me more details? Thank you.

Everything is clickable, I just don't find anything to explain how to apply their darned addon! Under a long list the "Most Popular" I found Addon Manager, but this didn't give any help either. All the other categories have extremely long lists. I can't continue searching like this. And not even a decent Search button. i was given an email address to inquire and didn't get an answer. Is this co. interested in its work, I wonder... I may have to go outside and see if some internet site offers a more efficient resizer item. Thanks just the same.

When you click the link, don't you get a page with screenshots about the extension and the developer's explanation? I'm attaching a screenshot of what I mean.

Ok thanks, I guess I was so focused on exploring the Extensions which you said to click on, that I didn't scroll down. A lesson to me for not going farther down. Now I'll have to start deciphering the screenshot...God help me lol!

Under 'About this Add-on' you'll find a long list of what this add-on
does, but it does not tell you how ...... But you asked the developer - sent him an email, didn't you  ? Let's hope you'll get an answer sometime soon  !

Hi, I did and got this from them:

"I dont understand the question... Or you havent read the addon's description on mozilla official addon's page..."

I guess many people have an "admission fee" for giving details. lol!

I'll try my luck but don't have much hopes for me.  :)

I use the auto resize image add-on and it just appears when needed, i.e. when an email message has images attached or embedded and they exceed some threshold size. The default settings provide sensible choices. You don't need to change anything.

Do I understand correctly that you have 120+ add-ons? Or was that just a list of what's available?

I have 30 or so and that's already too many. 120 would be silly.

Oh that's great that you set this addon up once and it will do its job when needed without having to go through all of that navigating everywhere! I'd love to have it, thanks for the link which, I hope will take me to the setup page so I can try it?

Oh no LOL! I don't have 122 addons! I went over this long list trying to find how to apply my installed autoresizer. Yes I suppose even 30 are a lot; however, if you need them that's what you get. I just wonder why the techies who put together this program didn't install them in the first place. Oh well, I'm sure they have a reason. I'm going to go now and try your ling for which THANK YOU!!!  :)

P.S. Where do I get the setup page? I searched below the screenshots on the link and don't seem to find it...
