What are untiltled attachments and can I delete them?

Some parties I receive files from include an untitled attachment for each of the .pdf or other files. What causes this to happen? Can I safely delete the untitled attachments?

Hi, since Firefox is not a Email Client what and where are you seeing this.

I would never open a untitled file of any kind just my thing even if I know who it is from.
