menu and navigation toolbars

Hi Folks I've just started using firefox and like it alot, my question is this, I like browsers to look as minimal as possible so I haven't got the menu bar displayed, I've found I'm only using the tools option anyway so don't need the others displayed. The only problem with this is having to display the menu bar and then close it again every time I want to use the tools option. Is there a method of putting a tools icon item into the navigation toolbar which I have displayed all the time? Thanks in advance for any help

The custom toolbar buttons maker can be used to create an extension that has a toolbar button for the Tools menu. Using the following link, select the button(s) that you want, then it will create the extension for you. Once you have installed the new extension you have to use the customize toolbar dialog to drag the new button onto the toolbar.

I'm not aware of an extension that adds a button to open the Tools menu.

Alt + T should display and open the Tools menu if the menu bar is hidden.

Press F10 or press and hold the Alt key down to bring up the "Menu Bar" temporarily.
