on my google bookmark toolbar to the left side of each bookmark name there's a site identity button with the icon proper of that site, eg. mozilla has the round orange colored fox surrounding the blue colored globe, that's mozilla's site identity.

i lost this icon on my bank's bookmark, now it only shows a picture of a white blank piece of paper, similar to the icon of a Window's 'new page'.

how can i get back my bank's site identity button on the bookmark?

hi, thanks for offering a solution. i tried it to no avail. maybe i didn't know how to use it? but i successfully installed the checkplace's icon on my bookmark toolbar, however when i click on it to use it, the steps it takes me through do not return my bank's missing site identity button. oh well, it's not important anyway. but thanks anyway.

Do you see the correct favicon in the location bar if you visit the site?

Try to remove that bookmark (click the star on the location bar) and create a new bookmark to see if that works.
