I reset my master password but the new one does not work and Firefox crashes when I click 'lost device' again. Name + pw OK.

I have a new computer and want to sync my FF bookmarks etc. Email and password are accepted. I did not know my activation code. I checked the website and I clicked on lost my device to generate a new password, but this new activation code was marked an error. Now FF will not give me another activation code if I click on Lost again but simply crashes. I tried to set up a new account with another email address but this is refused. Will I ever be able to sync my account to my new computer?
