browser.newtab.url is already set to the URl I want but new tabs won't open to it. They either open blank or I can get them to open to the standard multiple links page.

I've tried tab mix plus & classic theme restorer add-ons but no luck so far.

Can you try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if Firefox works properly with no error? You can start Firefox in Safe Mode below:

  • Windows/Mac: Go to Help > Restart with add-ons disabled
  • Linux: Run firefox -safe-mode in the Terminal/Konsole

If Firefox opens up fine with no problems, it's probably one of your extensions that's causing the issue. You can re-enable your add-ons one by one until you find the one that causes the issue upon being re-enabled.

It's something to do with Classic Theme Restorer. Suggestions for getting tabs back to below the address bar say to use it. With tabs on top, double clicking the tabs bar won't open a new tab, but clicking the + will open a new tab to my homepage.

If I use CTR to move the tabs down, then double click works but no home page & I can't find an option in CTR to solve that. I lose either way.

I've tried Homepage New Tab & also My Homepage add-ons but CTR seems to override them both.
