Every so often Firefox shows a large blue bar that says “Sync encountered an error while syncing: Unknown error. Sync will automatically retry this action.”

Sync will retry automatically anyway so I don't need to take action, so why does Firefox show this message? How can I get rid of the message?

(I don't care about preventing the *error*; I just don't want a huge blue bar every time Sync fails once.)

Did you check the sync log via the about:sync-log page to see if that give a clue about what is happening?

I know what's happening: my network connection is flaky.

I'm not trying to resolve the *error* — I just want rid of the *message*.
